HELLENiQ ENERGY donated three modern firefighting vehicles to the Association of Municipalities for the Protection and Rehabilitation of Mount Pentelicus during a ceremony held on Friday, 17 October, at Kifissia Town Hall.

Established in 1992, the Association is an inter-municipal organisation comprising municipalities from the wider Mount Pentelicus area. Its mission is to protect, restore and rehabilitate the mountain through coordinated forest protection activities, wildfire prevention initiatives, reforestation programmes and environmental awareness campaigns. Through its long-standing work and extensive experience, the Association has become a key contributor to the protection of Attica's natural environment.

Through this initiative to strengthen the Association's operations with three modern firefighting vehicles, HELLENiQ ENERGY reaffirms that environmental protection and community support remain at the heart of its strategy, recognising that sustainable development cannot be achieved without respect for nature.

The donation aims to help safeguard one of Attica's most valuable natural assets and forms part of HELLENiQ ENERGY's broader commitment to supporting civil protection and forest preservation initiatives, particularly in the wake of the major wildfires that have affected many regions of Greece in recent years.

The three new firefighting vehicles are expected to significantly enhance the Association's operational capabilities, enabling a faster and more effective response to emergencies, while also supporting prevention activities and patrol operations during the summer months for the early detection and management of potential risks. In addition, the vehicles will assist in transporting water and materials for reforestation projects, further supporting the restoration and rehabilitation of the area's valuable forest ecosystem.

Through this contribution, HELLENiQ ENERGY aims to help strengthen the protection of Mount Pentelicus, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy a healthy and thriving forest environment that remains a lasting source of life and ecological value.
