HELLENiQ ENERGY has made a new equipment donation for university student residences, this time to the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). The donation will support the refurbishment and upgrade of communal areas within the University’s student residences, as part of the Company’s Corporate Responsibility strategy to support the younger generation.

This is the second initiative undertaken by HELLENiQ ENERGY to help create better living, learning and personal development conditions for students, following its recent contribution to upgrading the student residences of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

As part of the donation to NKUA, 22 communal areas in Building A of the University’s student residences on Oulof Palme Street in Zografou are being upgraded with new, functional furnishings. These areas serve as spaces where more than 518 students can meet, study and interact as part of their daily lives.

The official handover ceremony for the equipment donation took place on Tuesday, 21 April, in the presence of Andreas Shiamishis, Chief Executive Officer of HELLENiQ ENERGY; Professor Gerasimos Siasos, Rector of NKUA; Anna Rokofyllou, President of the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation; and Professor Christos Karagiannis, Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs, Student Welfare and Lifelong Learning.

Through initiatives with a meaningful social impact, HELLENiQ ENERGY provides tangible support for education, the younger generation and society. As part of its Corporate Responsibility strategy, the Company develops partnerships with public and educational institutions and implements initiatives that create long-term value for the country.
